Easy Breezy Jumpsuit - M7577

Easy Breezy Jumpsuit - M7577

This pattern is PERFECT for spring /summer sewing! This pattern is a new spring pattern!  Originally when I saw this pattern my intent was to make the long sleeve version, but then I purchased the pattern and decided that the "no sleeve" version was a must sew first !  The pattern that I used was McCall 7577   View D  The pattern was super easy to sew and it only took a few hours to finish ! The instructions where very straight forward and easy to understand . I would classify this as a beginner pattern. I cut a Size 12 .  Alterations  I extended the legs 2"  on this pattern but next time I will add 4" because it just wasn't quite long enough for me.  I typically add  2"- 4" onto my pants, but according to the pattern measurements I only needed to add  2 ".   I'm sure it was intended for the hem to fall right at the ankle but I prefer mine a little longer in case I wear heels with the outfit ! Ankara Vibes - M7542

I love it when ideas come together !!!  I saw this dress on Ashanti a little over a month ago and fell in love !!  The dress was from Charles and Ron's Spring collectio n . They decided to play with fun colors and flouncy sleeves for this collection and I love every piece !  The dress is right on trend for this spring and the colors just made it so fun I had to sew it up. The varied sleeve options really allow you to play around and create different looks using different prints and fabrics. For my look, I decided to use a White Poplin for the contrast fabric. Alterations To make the bodice, I shorten both pa

Mimi G Jumpsuit Pattern

So by now, you should be able to tell that I am a jumpsuit queen !! I mean the ease of an all in one outfit is what I love, so when Mimi released this pattern I HAD to get it!  The pattern gives you two options: Wide Leg and Fitted Leg.  I chose the Wide Leg option this time but I do plan on also sewing the fitted leg option.  The pattern comes with a home printer friendly version and a "PRINT SHOP" version.  I printed the home printer version and assembled the pattern per the instructions.  Link to Pattern      The pattern was SUPER easy to put together and the instructions were very clear and concise.  For my fabric, I chose a Gorgeous Floral Scuba Knit that I had just purchased from Joann's.  The fabric is super soft and has a beautiful drape!  I cut a size 8 but I ended up grading the pants down to a 6   I love this pattern!  It took one day putting it together so it's definitely good f

This jumpsuit gave me LIFE  after a near death experience with the Winter Coat !!!!!   ( see previous post) The minute Vogue Patterns released this fabulous make it was just a waiting game on when Vogue Patterns would go on sale!   Vogue 1524  The back details of this jumpsuit sold me !! The minute they went on sale I ran out and got this pattern and found the fabric on the same visit !!  The fabric was a "Refined Ponte Knit" from Joann Fabrics .  It had a very lofty hand and the drape is beautiful !! Alternate Fabric Choices   Here and Here   Sewing the pattern up was a breeze. The pattern instructions say that it is for a Advanced sewer but I really think a Novice could sew this up with no problem ! The pattern called for Crepe, Rayon Blends, Crepe-Back Satin and for the Contrast - Moderate Stretch Knits: Stretch Crepe, Ponte Knit. I decided NOT to use two different fabrics , as suggested, because I wanted one seamles
