Floral Jumper - Simplicity 8426

Floral Jumper - Simplicity 8426

Can you tell how excited I am about this jumpsuit? I am a fan of just about anything jumpsuit related, so when I saw this new pattern released a few months ago by MiMi G and Simplicity I knew I had to have it!  This jumpsuit had so many elements to it that I love: Wide Legs, Pockets, Exposed Shoulders !!!!    Ok, once again I'm getting ahead of myself!   The Pattern..... Getting my hands on this pattern proved to be a task in and of itself! I'm really shocked each time I go to Joanns by just how many people sew now because the good patterns are ALWAYS hard to find. With more and more sewist reinventing and making patterns trendy patterns are flying off the shelf. I had to wait almost a month to get my hands on this pattern but at last, I succeeded!    The Fabric.... I purchased a navy blue woven, from Mood Fabrics, for this jumpsuit but was disappointed to learn that I didn't have enough, so I was on the hunt again. Not having enough of the

Rainbow Dress - Mccall 7563

Rainbow Dress - Mccall 7563

This Dress!!!  I first saw this dress on Nicole Murphy , who is just absolutely fabulous, and I knew I had to make it! The designer for her dress is Caroline Constas Apollonia and the dress retails for $495. I wasn't the only one inspired by this dress because the super fabulous Erica Bunker also made one for her beautiful daughter ( you can view hers here ) !!  Isn't it a dream to be able to see something and make it ?!!  This dress is the BOMB! In my opinion, the sleeves and off shoulder are what makes it so fabulous!  The designer also used a technique called "shirring" which I had never done before. So after watching several tutorials, I set out to make this beauty.  I didn't have to go far because I already had a pattern that was perfect for it !!  Mccall 7563 to the rescue AGAIN !!   YES! I used this same pattern for my last make here. This pattern has helped me make two really cute off shoulder pieces!  Thanks, McCal

Off Shoulder DIY Dress Tutorial | Mccall 7563

My Favorite DIY make EVER !! Ok, I know I've probably said that before but this is it !!  The sleeves on this dress sold it for me.  My inspiration for this dress came from a version that Lori Harvey wore a few weeks ago. Her's was from the Alexis 2017 Spring Collection ( shown below)  . After spending some time looking through their collection I was so inspired ! Their pieces are so clean and polished .  After being FULLY inspired I set out looking for the perfect pattern to make this dress happen . It didn't take long to come across one of McCall's new patterns that I knew would work perfect!   The pattern had the sleeve variations and silhouette I needed , I decided to use View D as my base. For the fabric I used a floral stretch cotton that I purchased from Fine Fabrics a few months ago . Im not a huge fan of red so I knew this fabric would compliment my style and still allow me to keep the beautiful silhouette . Let's Talk

Now let's talk about this super CUTE super EASY Pattern:  Vogue 9259 For this pattern, I decided to use floral fabric that I got from Joann's earlier. It didn't have much of a description but feels like a Scuba Knit or swimsuit fabric. I loved the feel of the fabric and the fact that it didn't need a hem. Win !! Let's Talk About The Pattern ......   Pattern Description: Criss-Cross Halter Romper and Jumpsuit Pattern Sizing: I cut a size 12 Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
