Cozy Sweaters

Cozy Sweaters

Its always a WIN WIN whenever you can get two looks out of one pattern!  That's exactly what I was able to do with Simplicity 8738 I purchased the fabric a few months ago from Joann's. I had planned on making these before I left for Germany but I didn't get the chance to so these were on the top of my To Do List when I returned.  View A :  Fuzzy Sweater Knit Fabric  - Joanns  View B  :  Fuzzy S weater Knit  Fabric    - Joanns I used View B for this look and omitted the cowl neck.  I sewed her up two sizes larger to REALLY get the oversized Sweater look.  I love how it turned out!  I used View A for this look and omitted the cowl neck.  LOVE !! 💛 Sewing the pattern for these pieces was REALLY simple, it took about an hour per sweater.  There are only 4 pieces to this pattern so its the PERFECT pattern for that quick sewing fix !!  I know for a fact that I will be sewing this pattern MANY more

Castles and Fur Coats !

I have been in Germany almost 2 weeks now !!! I cant tell you just how beautiful it is here , every turn takes my breath away. I expected a lot and I got it 10 times over. So far we have visted Frankfurt, Nuremberg, Munich , and now we are in Zirndorf , a town right out side of Furth. Currently Nuremberg and Munich are running neck and neck in the beauty category.  What I love about Germany is that with each city we visit there is a diffrent look a diffrent feel to it . If you follow me on Instagram I have tried to capture as much as possible to share with you all . As mentioned above currently we are in Zirndorf . One of my husbands sisters lives here. The other lives in Nuremberg, where we just left. She lives inside the walls of the Nuremberg Castle and we where fortunate enough to be able to stay with her for one week and experience some of this Fairytale living .The city inside the walls is BEAUTIFUL and was the PERFECT setting for my fur coat that I finished just before we left

If you have been following along on Instagram you know that we arrived on the 23rd and have been going every since !!  I am currently in Frankfurt Germany, the place where my husband lived for 15 years, visiting his mother and brother.  I will be here till New Year's Eve and then we will travel to Nuremberg Germany, where he was born, to visit his twin sisters! We will stay there for a week and a half and then travel back to Frankfurt until we leave on January 12th. This trip is so special to me for so many reasons but the biggest has to be the fact that my husband gets to finally be back home for the first time in more than 20 years. He hasn't stopped smiling since we landed, and that ALONE makes the trip worthwhile. I love it here...I really really love it here.We have already done so much in 4 days, but we still have so much more to see and do!  When we arrived everything in the city had co
