My BABY is graduating .... YES she will forever be MY baby and yes she is GRADUATING ....
I have been a emotional wreck ! I know its suppose to be a joyous time , and im sure the joy is down there somewhere , but as of late its been nothing but TEARS .
...So to help me cope ..I decided to occupy my time by making her a few outfits :)
Jadah is the exact opposite of me when it comes to style .. she is very dainty and eclectic ...
This really helped in coming up with her first outfit !
I chose pattern Simplicity 8130 View A
I was so sure she would love this, I didnt even consult her before cutting fabric !
The constructions was super easy however, between the main Fabric, lining and interfacing there where a LOT of pieces to work with!
I cut a 10 for her and graded the waist down to a 8
I decided to go with white so that she could wear it with just about anything!
I LOVE how she looks in it and how it turned out !
For the skirt I found this BEAUTIFUL fabric that looked like Paint brush strokes at Hancock Fabrics!
It was perfect with her being a artist . When I showed it to her she had a complete come apart!
SCORE !
She wanted a high low skirt so I used Hand by London App and adapted it a bit.
I cut the " Full Skirt"
I cut the front piece on the fold beginning at my shortest length and ending at my longest ( 24 inches)
For the second pieces I BEGAN at 24 inches and cut that Normally!
The two pieces combined BEAUTIFULLY !
To give the skirt a little volume I added Horse Hair in the Hem !
I could tell she loved the outfit !!
WIN!
I plan on making one more so Stay Tuned !
Until Next Time !
